The first tour of our magical theatrical play is now a reality!

With the arrival of 2025, we embarked on an exciting new journey for Eve & Mary’s Publishing—our magical performance tour:
“Fairy Tale Reading with Enchanted Twists.”

Beyond being authors and illustrators, we also see ourselves as storytelling magicians on a mission—to touch children’s hearts. That’s why we created this immersive performance, where we step into our magical roles and bring the fairy tales of Eve & Mary’s Publishing to life in a unique, interactive way. More than just entertainment, this experience helps children connect with the deeper messages woven into our stories.

We were warmly welcomed by schools and kindergartens in Sofia and Burgas, making us feel right at home. Now, we can’t wait to bring our magical performance to even more places across the country!

What is the theatrical play?

Our magical play blends a theatrical act with the fairy tale we read to the children. This unique combination brings stories to life, showing that fairy tale elements can subtly exist in our personal realities—sometimes in ways we may not immediately notice.

For example, when we read “Kai the Dragonfly”, a story about self-discovery, Eve also finds herself in need of a reminder—she forgets she is a storyteller and a magician. Through this playful moment, children naturally grasp the idea that elements of fairy tales can resonate in real life.

At the end of the performance, we hold a discussion with the children, where we see just how deeply they’ve understood this valuable lesson. And, of course, we wrap it all up with lots of fun and photos together!

Eve & Mary’s Connection to Theater

Acting has always been a part of both our lives, though we’ve explored this beautiful art in different ways.

Mary loves the stage and fully embodies her fairy-magician persona—not only through storytelling but also by sharing artistic secrets with children. She opens the door to her enchanting way of life, where creativity flourishes, and she shows how she even creates potions against forgetfulness.

Eve, on the other hand, has been involved in acting since her high school years. She completed academic courses in “Drama and Acting” at Westminster High School in London, Ontario Canada, equivalent to college-level training. In Bulgaria, she participated in numerous plays with the University Theater Workshop in Burgas, Bulgaria where she also wrote and published her first play.

These experiences have shaped our interactive storytelling performances, allowing us to blend literature, illustration, and theater into a truly magical experience for children.
